What's New
MJ Systems is pleased to offer online (ftp) access to all well log purchases and updates. The new retrieval features within LogSleuth make it possible to download logs quickly and easily, with automatic loading of the well data (.ls4) files and no userid or passwords to worry about. Clients may also schedule automatic downloading of log updates during off peak hours.
It will now be possible to request the download of just those registrations that have been added or modified since the last time the client performed an update. Since the announcement that MJ Systems now has registered logs for all wells in Canada, our focus has changed to registering additional log types and enhancing existing registrations. This new registration download mechanism is intended to keep our clients current with the latest updates. It is even possible to schedule the registration update procedure for off peak hours.
This feature allows LogSleuth to query the MJ master log library via the Internet. Clients can determine whether a given well exists in the library, if and when it was released, and what logs are available. For Canadian wells, identified by a UWI and License# that cannot be located in the master log library, there is a research request feature within LogSleuth. In response to such a request, MJ staff will locate the well, determine why it is not in the library, add it if possible, and generate a response, usually within one business day.
LogSleuth allows clients to notify MJ of registration issues with a single mouse click. Upon receiving the notification, MJ will attempt to correct the problem within 1 business day. Of course, clients will still be able to correct or add registrations themselves, if they so choose.
Textual annotations may be displayed and printed on the log or printed at the bottom of the log with depth indicators. The colors brown and orange have been added to the available color palette. The perforation symbol is perforated, once again.
LogSleuth requires each client to authenticate the first time they run version 2.10. Authentication is simply entering your name and company name. If LogSleuth is not authenticated, LogSleuth is restricted from printing and exporting logs. If the user already authenticated in a prior version they do not need to authenticate again.
LogSleuth 2.10 makes structural changes to its database and as such versions of LogSleuth, less than 2.10, can no longer access the database. This means that an upgrade of LogSleuth at a company with multiple seats should plan to upgrade at the same time.
